Youth Sport Trust Inclusion Award 2016
Oakwood and Redwood Secondary School won a national award at the annual Youth Sport Trust National Inclusion Conference on Tuesday, 17th May. The award was for the external work both schools have conducted this year to promote inclusive PE and provide further opportunities for young people to engage in school sport. Mr Jones said "it has been a great achievement to engage over one thousand young people with special educational needs and disabilities from Greater Manchester in school sport this year. I would like to thank our key partners for helping us achieve this, the GM Sports Inclusion Committee and Group, Paul Kelly and MCIC and Greater Sport. This is only the start!"
